Biography

Over 40 years in multi modal logistics and supply chain management roles, in own account and third party, initially in automotive, and subsequently since 1980, predominantly in food and drink in all three temperature environments. Since 2009, CEO of the Food Storage and Distrbution Federation, the UK trade association which represents the interests of companies which operate in the food logistics sector or food related companies have logistics and supply chain functions as key segments of their businesses. Prior to that, supply chain and wider management consultancy assignments and projects for international banking, manufacturing, retailer, logistics service supplier and UK Government clients. This period included two years as Chief Executive of Linq Alliance Ltd, a consortium of 26 well known and high quality transport companies, launching the Brand from scratch and delivering it's first £3.65m turnover in the first year. Previously Managing Director of West Kent Cold Storage Ltd, an industrial property business with three locations providing temperature controlled facilties and logistics support services to over 35 retail, wholesale and foodservice customers. After a hostile takeover of the Irish parent property company, sold the two key businesses, and after a 12 month handover period was non exec shareholder director and a director of Centurion Properties Ltd, for a further three years. To continue to be involved in an industry in which I enjoy working and have a wide ranging personal network, providing effective and profitable solutions for corporate clients in wide ranging industry sectors. Also adding back / contributing / mentoring from a position of successful experience.
